We specialise in courses and treatments for pregnancy and the early months of your new baby's life.

You will find information on Baby Massage and Baby Yoga classes in Horsham and Crawley. Private tuition is available for groups or individuals in East and West Sussex, and Surrey. We also run courses at the weekend to make it easier for dad to be involved.
The courses are sociable and are a great way to make new friends, especially important when you are a new parent. You will also be learning new skills which will empower you as a mother or father.

Our 'Mother to Be' treatments are specialised for pregnancy and can help prepare for a better labour, as well as helping to ease an aching back and swollen ankles!

Gift vouchers are available for treatments as well as courses, and make a
wonderful gift for parents with a new baby, or as a Christening gift,
the benefits of which will last a lifetime.

 

 

Touch is one of the essential senses that will ensure your baby develops their true potential. We all respond positively to kindness and love expressed through touch, and it is instinctive to love and protect our loved ones, to nurture and bring warmth, and Baby Massage is a lovely way to show this.

There are many benefits of massaging your baby some of which are:

- it aids the transition from womb to the outside world
- assists with bonding, through touch, eye contact, smell and sound of the parents voice.
- helps you get to know your baby by recognising baby's cues
- encourages restful sleep
- it can help relieve symptoms of colic and wind, and teething
- it has been shown to help mothers who suffer with Post Natal Depression
(Studies at Queen Charlottes in London, showed that mothers who took part in baby massage classes showing significant improvement over those mothers who hadn't.)
- it encourages the release of a hormone oxytocin in parent and child,
which brings about feelings of trust and confidence, and is also needed for the 'let down' reflex when breastfeeding.

Classes include a maximum of 8 mums and babies, and run for 4 weeks during which you will learn how to massage baby, including a colic relief routine. You will also learn natural ways to soothe your infant.
We also run weekend workshops for dads and working parents.

Yoga has been practised in India for thousands of years and has become a popular method in the West as a method of dealing with stress, and also as a way to improve physical suppleness.

Baby Yoga has been adapted from the adult form, and helps both parent and baby as it:
- strengthens the physical body
- helps baby to sleep more deeply
- stimulates the senses thus aiding development
- helps baby move from reflex to voluntary movement
- assists with bonding through the special time together
- relaxation helps parents to cope with everyday stress

Classes consist of baby exercises including a couple for mum and baby, followed by a deep relaxation at the end of the session when you cuddle up to your baby.

The sessions are great fun and include lots of songs and rhymes, as well as sensory development using silk scarves and finger puppets.
At the end of the class, there is time for refreshments and making friends with others.

Babies should be at least 12 weeks old and Baby Massage is recommended as an ideal introduction to Baby Yoga.

Pregnancy is a time of great expectancy; looking forward to being a new mother and meeting your beautiful new baby. It carries with it anxiety, perhaps about the delivery, or the responsibilty of being a parent, as well as the physical symptoms, particulary in the 3rd trimester.
Back pain, constipation, shortness of breath, swelling of the ankles are all common in the latter stages of pregnancy.
Pregnancy Massage is a nurturing treatment that will prepare the body for a more comfortable pregnancy; soothe anxiety and promote rest and relaxation; increase energy all of which will help you cope better in labour. It will help you be more in touch with your unborn infant and increase endorphins helping you to lift your spirits which will be passed onto baby .
Back pain and swelling will also be reduced.
Treatments include the use of special maternity cushions making the massage comfortable and supportive for you, and are as follows:-

Full Body (including face)
60 minutes £43.00

Full Body (including Face) and pedicure including cooling foot mask
This treatment will leave you feeling relaxed and like you are walking on air!
1hr 15 minutes £49.00

Maternity Reflexology
45 minute treatment £30.00
